We have volunteer opportunities available for those who would like to help out at the temple with gardening and general maintenance.
Choephel Rinpoche said, “ If you want to cook or garden, please come and bring your kids and family.” Everyone is welcome.

Choephel Rinpoche will give teachings and guided meditation on the Lamrim, also known as the Stages of the Path. The Lamrim includes all of Shakyamuni Buddha’s essential teachings in a step-by-step path to enlightenment. A wonderful opportunity to listen, contemplate, and meditate on these precious teachings.

Guru Puja (also known as Lama Chopa) encapsulates the essence of the Buddha’s teachings. In this practice we make offerings and supplicate for blessings on our Dharma path from the spiritual masters who have come before us.
Feel free to bring a tsog offering such as fruit, baked goods, or other individually wrapped edibles. For those students who do not have time to prepare offerings for Tsog, monetary offerings can be made for the Center to prepare on your behalf.

Friday 11/22 from 7:00 – 8:00pm (PST)
Lhabab Düchen is one of the four Buddhist holidays. Also known as the Buddha’s return to earth from the god realm, where the Buddha spent three months teaching the Dharma to repay the kindness of his mother Mayadevi. It is a merit multiplying day. In the scriptures it is said that karmic actions are multiplied by 100 million.
Students can come to the temple to do their individual practice like meditation on Bodhichitta, prostrations, etc. in the morning or afternoon. Then in the evening we will do a group light offering and Chenrezig practice on this auspicious day.
Saturday 11/23 from 3:00 – 5:00pm (PST)
The nuns will perform a Dakini dance and a Chöd blessing. Chöd is a practice based on Prajnaparamita (Perfection of Wisdom) to cut through one’s own self-grasping which is the cause of all suffering. Come an enjoy this rare blessing event.
Jangchub Jamtse Nuns Tour – Saturday 11/23 & Sunday 11/24
LCB is happy to welcome nuns from the Jangchub Choeling Nunnery in India on their first North American tour. The nunnery was established in the 1980’s to preserve the Tibetan culture while providing women philosophical education and training. The tour aims to spread love and compassion by sharing the profound Buddhist teachings and rituals.
Sunday 11/24 from 10:00am – 12 noon (PST)
The nuns will offer a long life prayer for His Holiness the Dalai Lama followed by a potluck lunch. Please bring some food to share.
